I honestly don’t know where to start. Just thinking about this place makes my mouth water in the most foul way you can possibly imagine. I’d go back to this place in a heartbeat, but would probably continue to go during lunch time to avoid the crowds. Everyone was friendly, from the manager to the cooks. A for effort. The year isn’t even over but if this was a musical album, the track list would be as follows…
- Where’s the parking?!
- No Wine Today
- Yummy Fish
- Lil Tomato Hater
- Clams for Days
- Parmesan Cheese Not Needed
- Boxes to Go
- Hot Restaurant Manager
- “The Classic”
- Plz No Nuts
Of course the album would be called “The Classic” and I would award it as Album of the Year!
Speaking of album of the year, my music career continues to go nowhere as far as any recognition, which is nonexistent from the general public. After all these years, I have written countless songs, yet I continue to write them without releasing any. At this point, it is what I am meant to do no matter what. It’s for the sake of expressing myself, to share my thoughts in an artistic way. I used to think that creating work was for fame, but it’s just an outlet that sometimes leads to showcasing it to an audience, with unpredictable responses. Which is enough reason to continue to release more work!
I learned that when you really want to do something, you have to go out and do it yourself. The founders of UOVO started off with their Marina del Rey location and four years later, they have five locations all over Los Angeles. I don’t know how they managed to keep their restaurants open these past few years with the pandemic and all, but they did. And it seems like they are thriving. So, lesson learned. Never give up! Hopefully, you’ll get to see some of my art soon! Talk soon! Mwah, mwah, mwah!
