This month’s theme has something to do with spring, rebirth, freshness, and creativity. I don’t know, something like that. LOL

It totally makes sense, given I have been trying new things and making all kinds of creative friends lately. My plays have been well received and I’m super excited to explore where that leads this year. I am making it a mission to be my most creative self this year and so far so good!

I have been describing this time in my life as my “Villain Era.” I’m getting better at setting boundaries, and prioritizing myself and my mental health. Maybe not so much on the mental health thing as I still need to remain a little crazy to continue to make art, LOL. Currently, I am at my most creative and I’m definitely not slowing down.

I have a few things that I am working on, and it’s probably better to talk about them after they’ve been completed. Not trying to be mysterious; just keeping it fresh for everyone. It’s fun to surprise my friends with the shit I make inspired by them, and that’s all I am going to say for now. You’ll find out very soon!

I am breaking out of my comfort zone by working with new people. People that are not just talking the talk but walking the walk too. In order for me to grow, I need to just jump into the fire. Dig deep within myself to create the most authentic art possible. Create the things I wish I’d seen growing up. At this point, I only care about enjoying the process and executing it to the best of my ability. No holding back. My approach right now is to fuck shit up! Create the worst work possible to allow myself to not be so precious about the work in the beginning. To take chances, get messy, and make mistakes in hopes it will eventually lead to something that feels organic and like I’ve freed myself from the box we sometimes put ourselves into.

I’m a musician, a playwright, and now a food critic?! I mean I love food so if I like it, that’s great, and if I don’t, I will say it either way. The overall experience at Magnolia House was cute. Good food, fast service and “ok” drinks. I left happy-ish. 4/5 stars!

And speaking of new things, I am also excited to continue to talk about food. I usually don’t since my mouth is full of it to the point that I can barely breathe. We got some great reviews coming up and I can’t wait to catch up with y’all in our next post!
