“Out with the old and in with the new!” That is our theme for this month’s get together. I am honestly ready for some spring cleaning. And after this expresso I just had. My insides are also ready for some spring cleaning of their own. I know, TMI. But it comes with part of this review, unfortunately or fortunately for some of you. LOL. I’ve been trying to clean out my house of all the junk my mom had compiled over the years, with no luck. Tons of this crap is attached to many years of trauma that it’s hard to talk someone outta their bad habits. I am determined to clean this stuff out this spring. I will keep you posted.
It’s nice to hang with someone on a regular basis. And sometimes a venting buddy is needed to get your frustrations out. Even if we felt like we were being rushed out of the Redbird. The server kept checking on us, which made me feel like we were getting rushed out. It’s usually a good thing when the server is attentive, but for some reason it wasn’t this time.
I feel like most of the people that come here have money to just throw away on a tiny plate. Or they come here just to be seen. If you want to splurge on a trendy experience you should definitely try it. But I would probably recommend dinner rather than brunch. Dinner here seems to be more of a shared plate type of thing. They were really good at accommodating Marianne’s cushion seat needs, so that’s a plus. The food was savory and whatever Marianne had looked like something I would enjoy too. You’ll have to read her review to find out tho. I’d come back just to be seen, but not for the food. Brunch rating, ⅖ stars. Sorry not sorry!
After our meal, we walked around the garden. It’s spring and the flowers are blooming and the trees were as green as can be. It was a nice stroll after brunch, we took some pics and might post, might not. We already have our pick for next month, but if you are reading this and have recommendations of what to try next, email us on our contact page!
