Sometimes a person is in the mood for wine, and sometimes, one has a hankering for cocktails. I was in a cocktail kind of mood, so, even though nothing on the cocktail menu seemed especially appealing, I ordered one anyway, but I decided against taking chances with my drink order and instead went with an old friend, the Bloody Mary. I hadn’t had one in years. This rendition reminded me why I used to like Bloody Marys back in the day. The bartender didn’t skimp on the vodka either, so a single $15 glass was all it took to get me to that optimal state of being relaxed and sanguine, but not so tipsy that I had to worry about stumbling into other people’s tables on my way to the restroom.
